Paul Francisty has been part of the Mt Washington Ski Club for 25 years. Paul and his wife Lorraine began their journey with the club when they signed their children Krystal, Matt and Kelsi up for the Nancy Greene Ski League…. The kids excelled and Paul jumped in with two feet, often dragging Lorraine’s feet in too. Paul’s biggest role in the club was probably that of registrar. He held this role forever, finally passing along his duties last season. But Paul was much more than registrar, he helped guide the club through both tough times and good times! He worked hundreds of races, became a TD (Technical Delegate) and has taken his love of the sport on the road volunteering at countless races from local zone races to World Championships and Olympic and ParaOlympic games! He is an ambassador of the sport and of Mt Washington Ski Club, a Marmot thru and thru and we can’t thank him enough for all he has done and continues to do! Congratulations Paul!

Many hands make light work!

We have a beautiful club cabin to share and this year it is very busy with about 30 U10’s each day! That is a lot of lunches, hot chocolates and snacks!! Thank you so much to the parent volunteers taking their turn to keep it looking great. There are still some sign up spots available and this is an easy way to get your volunteer hours.
Remember that many hands make light work so encourage your children to wash, dry and put away any dishes they use and check the floor and table around where they ate for quick clean up. This will encourage them to take pride in their space AND help the volunteer on duty. If the dishwasher is full and running…please do not stack dishes for the next load! If it is full and clean, and you have 2 minutes…by all means help out by unloading it…even if you aren’t officially on duty.
Thank you to to Fia (and her mother Lara) today for chipping in.
